Cosplay is an activity and performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character. Favourite sources include anime, cartoons, comic books, manga, television series, and video games. A rapid growth in the number of people cosplaying as a hobby since 1990s has made the phenomenon a significant aspect of popular culture.

At Halton Hills FanFest we want to celebrate the artform that is cosplaying by hosting a cosplay contest! The contest will be divided into age categories, and judged by a selection of cosplayers and Halton Hills Public Library staff! It will be hosted in the John Elliott Theatre from 2-5pm on April 27th as part of FanFest!

Come dressed in your best cosplay, and the best dressed takes home a prize!
